Totally Absurd Marketing… Really?
 | When you use the same approach everyone else does in your ads or your website,your marketing takes on a “me too” look and your prospects get no clear indication of why they should do business with you versus the competition. My question is why in blue blazes when you want your business to stand out above your competition do most people try to make their marketing look the same as their competition's? It's nuts! However,it does serve to show you that there really is no rhyme or reason to what people do sometimes. You'll find that the businesses with the most success are the ones that made a decision to "market with courage." Be funny,make jokes,use absurd examples,use poetry (or a few lines that rhyme)… break up the hum-drum that people see and hear everyday,day in and day out. Tout your benefits instead of the features of your products or service or experience. Break the mold! It doesn't have to be totally "out in left field" to do that. Just make something different,noticeably different,and that just may do the trick. |
